During the last years, as a painter, I immersed in abstract motifs and my subconscious, such as memories from my childhood. There have been concrete elements in my work – flowers, cherries, trees, and possible human figures – but the focus in the shapes has been on transmitting moods, feelings, and reminiscences of something undefined. I work in a large format and use all the surface of the canvas, with no horizon or other characterization of the space, to create rhythm and shades which give rise to these psychological, almost metaphysical, states of mind that are very personal to me and universal at the same time. During last year, I also experimented with ceramics in relief to explore above mentioned moods through other media.
